The data centers have multiple power supply connections. This reduces the risk of a single point of failure. In rare case that all supply connections fail, there is automatic switch-over to electricity generators. They supply, for a minimum of 48h, electricity to the whole data center.
DDoS attacks are a real threat for all servers.They are trying to overload the network connections, so the service of webpages or emails stops working. All our servers are fully protected by special Anti-DDoS measurements to keep attackers out and services up and running.
The network connection is one of the most important parts. The data centers we use are protected by multiple high speed fiber optic cables. This ensures that connectivity and availability of our servers is 99.9% .
All of our servers are permanently monitored, 24h, 7 day a week. There is a polling every minute which ensures that, if a server’s going off-line because of faulty hardware, the on-site technicians are aware of this. They replace faulty parts immediately.
